“Yes, I can do it. I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I’m going to do. I can tell you that Iran has a lot of problems, and they want to negotiate,” Trump told journalists on Wednesday. “And I said, why didn’t you negotiate with me before all this death and this destruction? Why didn’t you go? I said to people, why didn’t you negotiate with me two weeks ago? You could have done well. You could have had a country. It’s very sad to look at this.”
Trump previously said that he thought Iran was very close to obtaining a nuclear weapon and pushed Iran to sign a nuclear agreement. Although discussions have been planned between the United States and Iran in Oman on Sunday, Iran retired to discussions on Friday.
Trump doubled his previous statements on Wednesday saying that Iran could not get a nuclear weapon.

“It’s just not a threat you can have. And we have been threatened by Iran for many years,” said Trump. “You know, if you go back and look at my story, if you come back 15 years, I say that we cannot let Iran get a nuclear weapon. I have been saying it for a long time.”
As a result, Trump told journalists he had offered Iran “the ultimate ultimatum”.
“Maybe you could call it the ultimate-the ultimate ultimatum, right?” He said.
The tensions between Israel and Iran degenerated Thursday after Israel launched massive air strikes against Iranian nuclear sites which, according to Israel, killed several high -ranking military leaders. In response, Iran has also launched strikes against Israel while the two military campaigns go up to each other.
While Secretary of State Marco Rubio initially declared that the United States was not involved in strikes against Iran, Trump later told Reuters that he was aware of the attacks in advance.
Meanwhile, Iran said that the United States entering the conflict would mean “total war”.
