The group of seven leaders meets in Canada, with questions such as the Israeli-Iranian conflict and the American prices on the agenda, while the nations hope to avoid clashes with US President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly threatened to annex the host nation.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said his priorities strengthened peace and security, building critical mineral supply chains and creating jobs. But Trump’s prices on countries around the world and conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine are expected to receive great attention during the summit.
Israel and Iran launched new attacks against each other on Monday, increasing the number of deaths in the conflict that started with an Israeli offensive on Friday.
A G7 official said that leaders were planning to issue a joint declaration calling for de -escalation in the conflict.

A senior American official said on Friday that professional discussions would cover trade and the world economy, critical minerals, smuggling of migrants and drugs, forest fires, international security, artificial intelligence and energy security.
“The president is impatient to pursue his objectives in all these areas, in particular by making American and reciprocal American trade relations,” said the official.
Trump will have at least three bilateral meetings planned at the summit with other world leaders, notably with Carney, Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum and the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
