The most read books on Good Adreads this week
Last week was the first time in a certain time that the Empyred Books were not represented in the best five most read books on Good Adreds or in the ten successful books, but this is not true this week. The series is still not in the best bestsellers, but Onyx storm has returned to the five most read books on Goodreads. I really need to stop declaring the end of Peak Empyrean.
Apart from that, most of the most read titles this time are familiar, just in a slightly different order. Before entering them, let’s talk about a few new versions that you should know.
Two new books this week, you should know
Unfortunately, the most read books on GoodDeads tend not to be diversified by any definition of the word. Here are some new books this week that deserve a wider readership, both recommended by Erica Ezeifedi in the newsletter of new books.
The Book of Discs by Madeleine ThienThis tripping and temporally fluid novel begins as Lina and her father find themselves at the sea. The sea is mysterious, she moves her shape as well as her time, and although there is there, Lina finds friendship with a Jewish scholar from the 17th century in Amsterdam, a philosopher from the 1930s by fleeing the Nazi persecution and a poet of the Tang dynasty. Thanks to their advice, she begins to face the role of her father in the trauma of her family. |
Marsha: The joy and challenge of Marsha P. Johnson by TourmalineHere, Tourmaline brings a shine to the life of Marsha P. Johnson, who would have launched the first brick during the uprising of Stonewall in 1969. It is in fact the first official biography of Marsha, and through it, we see the queer icon as an activist and an artist who worked alongside Rupaul and the troop of Drag the hot peaches. |

It was read by nearly 27,000 users this week and has an average rating of 4.6. |

Big big life By Emily HenryEmily Henry is a basic author on the Best Sellers’ lists and the most read Goodeds list, so it is not surprising to see his last title here. He follows two writers in competition to write the official biography of a recluse heiress. It was read by 34,000 users and has an average score of 4.1. |

The tenant by Freida McFaddenMcFadden is a familiar name in this functionality since The maid exploded on the best-sellers lists. In her new thriller, Blake and her fiancée rent a room in their house to a new tenant. Soon, strange things are starting to happen in the house, and the neighbors are starting to treat them differently. This was read by nearly 47,000 GOODREADS users this week, and it has an average rating of 3.9. |
