JUXTAPOZ – Kyle Coniglio “No More I Love You’s” @ Richard Heller Gallery, Santa Monica

Richard Hiller exhibition I am pleased to present Kyle Konigelioand No more, I love you. This is the first single exhibition of Coniglio with the exhibition.

The show takes its title from Annie Linux path for 1995 “No more I love” that Consclio describes as “very bitter and very mysterious.” He refers to the accompanying music video – surrounded by Lennox men in clouds on the stage that was dropped by Rococo painting with a mural – as a “camp masterpiece”. However, the title of the show takes meaning behind the song itself. “No more I love you,” is a poetic statement for the preserved times in which we live, which it embodies through the wounded characters and horror expressions. In addition, the title runs against the dominant speech of the intimate relationship in the perceptions of the stranger. “I am interested in the things that are going well, the moments that people do not share Instagram, because as a chronic single person, this is more than my strange experience.” Koniglio’s sense of humor rises against his use of beauty. The painter often takes from the European painting in the seventeenth and eighteenth century, and displays his novels in a fictional world that falls between his imagination and artistic history.
