Hello, human formors! In the interest of sorting two birds with a single phone, I will discuss the five science fiction / fantastic books that I plan to read afterwards. (Probably. Uh, most likely. But subject to change.) So you learn a few SFF books that you may want to add to your TBR, and I can plan my reading for the week. It’s a victory / victory!
I am a big fan of planning what I will read, even if I am easily distracted by other books that cross my way. All my book is like “Oooo, brilliant”. But I hope to arrive in these SFF books soon, because they sound well. There are dragons, princesses, space and more! Which one are you interested in reading?

This princess kills monsters: the misadventures of a half-sister of fairy tales by Ry Herman (June 17)
A princess considered as unnecessary magic talent is sent to quests by her evil mother-in-law, and the quests always end with her death almost. During his last mishap, when he was on the way to meet her husband, she was saved by twelve masked men. Then comes the speaking lion, no more assassination attempts and an increasing attraction for the sister of his fiancée. What is a princess to do? This is a story of The twelve hunterA fairy tale Grimm Grimm… that I have never read. Now the question is: should I read the fairy tale before reading the novel, or not? In addition, we do not learn what his unnecessary magic talent comes from the description of the jacket, so I have to discover it too.

Anji kills a king by Evan Leikam
This also takes place in a kingdom, but instead of a princess, the main character is an assassin. Anji is a laundress at the castle, working for a horrible king. It is so horrible that one day, when she has the opportunity, she kills it. Forced to flee after killing the king, Anji is prosecuted by a group of mercenaries. But when you finally catch it, he prefers to keep it alive and recover the reward for himself. Now they have to run other mercenaries in his group in the hope of going through their living ordeal.

Moon Soul: a new fantastic science of science by Nathaniel Luscombe
A young girl decides to leave her work on a small moon of the desert in this science fiction. August is not satisfied with the management of her life, so she decides to take a job in the hanging gardens. Here, she makes new friends, redirects her life and receives a surprise visitor from her past. I know that I added this news to my TBR list not so long ago, but I already forgot who recommended it to me. It looks great!

The Queen of Saturn and the Prince in exile By Errick Nunnally
A young black nerd in Boston in the 1970s fights against the lack of representation of blacks in his favorite genre, science fiction. His mother has always claimed to be space, but he never believed that it was true until strange men are starting to look at him and his parents, former members of a black power group at the time of civil rights. (It can prove to be adjacent science fiction, but it seems wonderful and I say it counts.)

The lost queen By Aimee Phan
And finally, I plan to read this beginning of fantastic duology on a young girl in California who saves another student of drowning and opens his world. When Jolie Lam saves Huong Pham, their connection unlocks the abilities that girls did not know they had, including telepathy and premonitions. These mystical powers show them that they have links with powerful figures from ancient Vietnam. To understand their visions and their powers, they will have to cross dreams and portals before being discovered and struck by ancient enemies.
Okay, stars, now take the knowledge you have learned here today and use it for good, not evil. If you want to know more about the books, I’m talking about books almost constantly (when I don’t read them), and you can hear me say a lot of adjectives about them on the Podcast BRU All books! and on Instagram.
