The best new poetry books in the New York Public Library

The New York Public Library (NYPL) recently published a list of 25 of the best new poetry books this year. To find the list, NYPL librarians and staff have read more than 250 pounds in poetry and reduced them to the current list, which covers everything, of identity (AAPI, Noir, LGBTQ +, Middle East and Jewish experiences) with mental health, family and nature. There are even selections for poetry readers interested in speculative stories and sports.
