Frank Konirt’s exotic pictures Cronic, a truly miniature world – huge
It is difficult to imagine a welcome mat at the entrance to a secret service boat, not to mention a table for two people floating on top of the diving platform in the middle of the winter. But to Frank ConerrtThese scenarios are practically disturbing every day, albeit on a very small scale.
Connert photos (previously) take a set of structures and interiors that feel countless reasons, “slightly out.” Whether this is a light position in the race track, it cuts one of the running lanes, a single dining table stuck in the snow, or a narrow poetic residential complex, but it is impossible, manually the artist’s mini groups explore where familiarity and strange bite.
Take advantage of the absurdity of daily life, Conerrt plays with architecture, quotidian things, customs, and our associations with home or public places. His complex models appear realistic enough at first glance, but when carefully examined, we notice things that challenge our sense of size and materials, such as chalk lines on a race or snow -like track.
Konart designs lighting, furniture, wall covers and outpatients accurately to give the impression of the reality that has been transformed alongside – sometimes literally. His books have a dark and irony, which leads us to stop and clarify the clash, for example, whether what is on the other side as a door of Nondescyipted “fun” is actually announced. There are never people, but we can imagine that customers who left a restaurant or home owner sit inside a closed door.
