Dick Cheney’s death prompts George W. Bush to call him a patriot

Former President George W. Bush said the death of former Vice President Dick Cheney was “a loss to the nation and a heartbreak to his friends.”
“Laura and I will remember Dick Cheney for the decent and honorable man he was,” Bush said in a statement obtained by Fox News. Cheney’s death was announced Tuesday morning.

“History will remember him as one of the finest public servants of his generation – a patriot who brought integrity, great intelligence and seriousness to every office he held,” Bush’s statement read in part.
