Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard made a surprise visit to the US-run Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) as US forces work to plan and implement phase two of the ceasefire agreement.
“This is a living example of what can happen when nations come together for common interests with the potential impact of lasting peace that benefits generations to come,” Gabbard told Fox News of the CMCC.

The CMCC will support stabilization efforts inside Gaza and facilitate humanitarian and security assistance being developed as part of the Trump administration’s broader peace plan.
“For the first time in a generation, there is a real sense of hope and optimism, not only in Israel, but throughout the Middle East,” Gabbard added. “This is due to President Trump’s leadership and the foundation he has laid through his historic peace agreement.”
Intelligence sharing and coordination are expected to play a critical role in the success of the ceasefire, which is part of the reason Gabbard arrived in Israel to see the operations firsthand.
The Director of National Intelligence revealed that currently, 16 countries and 20 NGOs are working side by side in this multinational civilian and military force aimed at bringing stability to Gaza, while opening a new chapter for the Middle East.

“The American people need to know that the American presence at the CMCC is about leadership, coordination and service,” Gabbard said.
Approximately 200 U.S. troops are on the ground participating in the CMCC, but will not enter the Gaza Strip. A coalition of forces from Arab countries will eventually send stabilization personnel to the enclave to help implement the administration’s peace plan.
“In conversations I have had with leaders across the region, including in Manama, people have spoken openly and with hope about a future defined not by conflict, but by cooperation and stability,” Gabbard said. “Progress is possible with strong leadership and a shared vision of peace.”

Gabbard, who also visited the Kerem Shalom crossing along the Gaza border, is the latest Trump administration official to visit Israel as part of a broader campaign to ensure the success of the peace plan. His trip follows similar visits by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US special envoy Steve Witkoff.

“This is a difficult mission that requires clear communication, coordination and transparency,” Gabbard concluded. “Intelligence not only supports security, but also the achievement of lasting peace and stability for Israelis and Palestinians.”
