Demi LovatoHis ex-fiancée Max Irish He says he’s going to rehab after his domestic violence arrest…and it sounds like he needs help, based on what he tells us about the lead-up to his arrest.
Max tells TMZ… He was high and experiencing psychosis when he got into a fight with his mother that led to him being transported to a Florida prison on a battery charge. He says his mother was trying to convince him to stop inhaling nitrous oxide.

The “Young and the Restless” actor says he went to Florida to stay with his parents… after being kidnapped in Los Angeles last week by 3 gang members. He says his alleged captors gave him nitrous, and he was high on nitrous for a week before his arrest.
Max says he’s on 72-hour psychiatric hold in Florida under the Baker Act…and when that’s done, he says he plans to spend at least 30 days in a rehabilitation program.
We broke the story… Max is arrested Tuesday night and was booked into jail early Wednesday morning in Port St. Lucie after being charged with domestic violence.
The police report said Max I got physical With his mother while taking nitrous oxide. Max was broadcasting live that night… and the video appears to show him inhaling nitrous while his mother breaks down in tears. He also appears to be inhaling nitrous when talking to the cops.
Police say Max’s mother told them her son was a “heavy inhalant user” and had consumed nitrous oxide before turning violent during an argument over her phone at their home. Police said she told them Max chased her outside into her neighbor’s backyard, pushed her to the ground and kicked her in the thigh. His mother did not suffer serious injuries.
Max and Demi were briefly engaged in 2020… after just 4 months of dating, he popped the question… but two months later they split for good.
