The FBI has already dismissed employees and abolished the CR-15 team one day after revealing that several private communications and telephone calls of the Republicans had been followed.
FBI director Kash Patel announced on Tuesday the measures that the office had taken in response to the revelation of “base surveillance” during the Biden administration and promised more actions to come.
“We clean a sick temple of three decades in the realization – identifying the rot, removing those who armed the police for political purposes and those who do not meet the standards of this mission while restoring integrity into the FBI. I promised a reform, and I intend to deliver it,” said Patel in a declaration at Fox News Digital.

Patel also posted on this subject on X, saying: “Transparency is important, and responsibility is critical. We have promised both, and that is what the promises that are held … We have put an end to the employees, we abolished the CR-15 army team and we launched an in progress in progress with more measures of responsibility to come.”
The deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, responded to the post and echoed the patel message, writing: “We promised you transparency and responsibility. We will continue to keep these promises. You deserve better.”
The CR-15 team was the public corruption unit of the FBI field office. The team helped former special lawyer Jack Smith investigate President Donald Trump, according to NBC News, who cited sources familiar with the question.

A Document, Review by Fox News Digital On Monday, Revealed that Smith and His “Arctic Frost” Team Investigating Jan. 6 Were Allegedly Tracking the Phone Calls of Gop Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Bill Hagety of Tennessee, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Tommy Tuberville de l’Alabama Pennsylvania.
The document, recently discovered by patel and exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital, is entitled “Cast Assistance” and dated September 27, 2023. “Cast” refers to the survey team on the Cellular Analysis of the FBI. The ID of the case is marked in the document as “Arctic frost – the law on elections – a question of sensitive investigation – Break”.

In addition, it indicates the names of the legislators and that a special FBI agent in the Smith team “carried out a preliminary analysis of the toll” on the toll files associated with the legislators.
An FBI official told Fox News Digital that Smith and his team to follow the senators could have seen which telephone numbers they called, the location of the phone call originally and the location he was received.
One source said that calls were probably referring to the vote to certify the 2020 elections.
