Democrat Amy McGrath sets another offer from the American Senate

Amy McGrath, the Democratic candidate of the American Senate who was Walope by the outgoing senator of the Mitch McConnell GOP in 2020, losing almost 20%, set up an offer to replace the long -standing republican legislator who does not seek to re -election in 2026.
“Our democracy is besieged, Washington’s cowards bowed to Donald Trump, and the Kentuckians pay the price,” she wrote in a job On X, which also presented a campaign video in which she said: “What we see in this country of this president, not normal, dangerous, for Kentuckians and for all Americans.”
Before being beaten by McConnell in 2020, McGrath lost a race at the 2018 house against the outgoing republican representative Andy Barr.

McConnell has held the headquarters since 1985.

The last time the Kentucky voters chose a democrat to represent them in the upper room, it was when outgoing senator Wendell Ford was re -elected in 1992.
McGrath was “the first woman in the Marine Corps to pilot a combat mission in an F / A-18”, according to her campaign websiteWho notes that for “20 years of service, Amy stole 89 combat missions”.

She will face competition in the Democratic primary of others on the political left which also compete for the siege of the Senate, notably the representative of the State Pamela Stevenson, the head of Kentucky House Minority Floor and others.
