While the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, signs a decree, establishing “ice -free zones”, a federal special agent working on evictions said that these types of measures cause real complications and hamper the ICE capacity to repress illegal criminal immigrants.
The special agent, who works the deportations in New England, told Fox News Digital that sanctuary policies prohibiting glacial agents from using police or other areas of the city to often stage exposed agents, having to prepare for missions in public spaces.
The agent explained that if the ice does not have an office nearby and is forbidden to use the city of the city, “this means that you are stuck:” Okay, I will go to a supermarket. I’m going to go to an office park if I can find one, maybe a park while I put my vest and all that, and I am informed. “”
On Monday, Johnson, a Democrat, signed a decree prohibiting the use of city parking lots and garages for the staging areas of civil immigration, the places of processing or the bases of operations.

Johnson presented order as establishing “ice -free zones”. Speaking at a press conference for the signing on Monday, he said that the order also makes it possible to “revolt private companies” to refuse the use of ice agents of their property to organize operations. He said the order aims to “reintegrate this administration out of control”.
“If the federal government violates this decree, we will bring them to court,” said Johnson, urging Trump to leave Chicago “the monster alone”.
In a statement published on X, Johnson accused ICE agents of “having elected officials, demonstrators of tear gas, children and police from Chicago and abuse residents of Chicago”.
“With this decree, Chicago is firm to protect the constitutional rights of our residents and communities of immigrants and maintaining our democracy,” wrote Johnson.

The White House responded by publishing a granted declaration in which it described the order of “a disgusting betrayal of each law respectful of the laws”.
The White House called the Order A “disease of illness” which “wedges the illegal criminal foreign killers, the rapists and the gangbangers who attack innocent Americans”.
“Protecting him the most depraved and violent illegal criminal foreigners of justice is not only an insult to each chicagoan, it is also a dangerous intensification of the lunatic sanctuary of the Democrats” where the illegal criminals are presented to American citizens, “said the declaration of white house.
According to the agent, Chicago is not the only sanctuary city which prohibits ice in the use of municipal property to organize immigration application operations.
“What does that leave you in an urban environment? Are you going to go to a supermarket. Who is in a supermarket? Everyone and their grandmother,” said the agent.

The agent explained that the preparation of missions in public spaces presents an operational risk because it allows anti-ice activists to follow and make their movements known.

“They can see us bringing us together and they put it on Facebook immediately because there are different Facebook pages that we know they have put us,” said the agent.
The agent also expressed his concern about the policies of the sanctuary preventing the police from being able to help if the demonstrators become violent.
“Being in a sanctuary city, in the event of violence, or to become practical or someone is injured, either a government or a demonstrator. What will the local police do? Will they face it? I don’t know,” said the agent.
