A conservative guard dog says that Trump’s highly publicized Doge Cups are a drop in the bucket compared to the right in American hot air balloon.

Openhebooks, a conservative tax surveillance group, published a report on Thursday, showing that compulsory expenses for health insurance and social security are considerably prevailing on any reduction in discretionary expenses inaugurated by the Trump administration.

THE report has been released while legislators come up against the financing of the government, the struggle centered on the democratic plans to extend Obamacare.

“Government closings provide taxpayers with a much necessary reality control at the massive scale of federal spending and our debt and our unsustainable deficits,” the CEO of Openhebooks, John Hart, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Political decision -makers must wake up and take a closer look at net safety expenses, which is the biggest part of our budget and which is very sensitive to fraud.”

Of the 6.9 billions of dollars spent by the federal government in 2024, $ 912 billion went to Medicare, and 1.5 Billion of dollars went to Social Security, according to Openhebooks.

Meanwhile, Openhebooks highlights the termination package adopted by the Congress in July, which has largely focused on the Reductions of the US Agency for International Development, saved around $ 9 billion and the Doges Cups allowed taxpayers of around $ 150 billion.

“The quantities of saved savings in 2025 pale compared to our expenses for the safety net programs,” said the Opeenthebooks report. “If the flow of money in the federal government could be considered from a jet cruise at 30,000 feet, Medicare would be the Mississippi river and Social Security would be the Columbia river while USAID and the” awakened “spending programs would barely be visible, tiny streams.”

In particular, Openhebooks focused on a single aspect of Medicare funds – those allocated to the coverage of prescription drugs. The tax guard dog noted that the 1,000 best suppliers of the system are linked to more expenses in 2024 – 10.9 billion dollars – than what was saved by the Package for highlighting July. According to the conclusions of Openhebooks, the ten main suppliers are associated with almost the same amount of savings inaugurated by the $ 1.1 billion of Trump Administration in PBS and NPR.

“We do not imply that one of these suppliers undertakes in something other than legal conduct in the name of the beneficiaries of Medicare,” said the report. “However, it is also true that health care expenses in the United States are largely ineffective and fraudulent on a large scale. In June, the Ministry of Justice billed 324 defendants for Medicare fraud of $ 14.6 billion.

The OpenThebooks report argues that if American taxpayers wish to understand costs, advantages, vulnerabilities and potential economies, linked to federal government spending, they must fight for transparency.

“When taxpayers see where their money take place, in particular during the debate and heated closings, they can hold responsible political decision -makers to better direct their flow,” concludes the report.
