Four injured in a car attack and knives outside the British synagogue; Suspect Shot

At least four people were injured Thursday morning in a car and knife attack outside a synagogue in Manchester in the United Kingdom, authorities announced.
The Grand Manchester police said that police had been called around 9:30 am to the Heaton Park’s Hebrew Congregation’s synagogue after a vehicle was taken to pedestrians and a person was stabbed. Armed police said a major incident and opened fire a few minutes later, hitting a person who would be the suspect.
Paramedical paramedics arrived on the scene a few minutes later and were seen treating the victories.

The attack came on Yom Kippour, the holy day on the Jewish calendar which ends later during the day.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer returns early from a visit to Denmark and will chair what he called an “emergency meeting” in London with ministers and civil servants.
Starmer said additional police assets were deployed in synagogues across the country.

“I am dismayed by the attack during a synagogue in Crumpsall,” wrote Starmer on X.
