A cries match between senator Josh Hawley, R-MO., And a former administration official of Biden broke out during a hearing of the Senate’s judicial committee on the need for “two minds” of safe spaces to combat armed violence.

Hawley challenged Gregory Jackson Jr., who was deputy director of the Boad -White House -White House prevention office and, more recently, as head of the Community Justice Action Fund (CJAF), on organizational policies on the creation of safe spaces for individuals “two spirits”.

Hawley was toast Jackson about a CJAF report published while he was leading the group, entitled “A play book of decision -makers to reduce armed violence without police communities”, which, according to him, “advocated to finance the police” and investing in “programs that recognize the need for safe space initiatives led by lesbian people”.

“What is two minds?” Hawley asked.

In response, Jackson said: “Well, I don’t know exactly.”

Jackson continued by saying: “If you look at the report, the emphasis is on investment in the intervention of violence, awareness workers, victims’ services.”

“You say that we should not invest in the police, but we must invest in two spiritual community programs that recognize two spiritual people. What is it?” Hawley retaliated. “I just want to know. I don’t know what it is. I have no idea what it is.”

After Hawley repeated the question, Jackson admitted: “I am not completely aware of the language. I have the impression of looking at a two -sided individual because you are talking about reducing violence, but also denouncing the programs to reduce violence.”

“Oh no, sir, you look at someone who reads your own words to you, and I would like to hear an answer,” said Hawley.

“Here’s the answer,” added Hawley. “The answer is that you do not have solutions. You want to invest in GobbledyGook and remove money from the police who keep our community safe, and when you are called in the folder, you deny it. Everything is there in black and white, and your file is there in black and white, and it’s a shame.”

Raising the voice, Jackson, who was seriously injured in a Washington, DC, firing in 2013, replied: “While someone who was shot down and almost killed, I offer that you think that the last 13 years were not focused on reducing violence.”

Hawley shouted: “I am offending that you are not answering my questions, that you deny your own words and that you are mistaken in this committee. And, frankly, sir, your policies are absurd, they are absurd.”
