American companies guarantee $ 170 billion in foreign offers under Trump so far this year

First on Fox: US companies have won a record of $ 170 billion in foreign government contracts since President Donald Trump returned to office, the Ministry of Commerce said on Tuesday.

Transactions amount to 98 contracts and are expected to generate $ 144 billion in the United States and support nearly 600,000 American jobs, according to the International Trade Administration (ITA), the Arm and Exports of the Commerce Department.

The total eclipses the $ 12 billion in contracts signed during the same period in 2021 under former President Joe Biden.

The aerospace and defense sector has taken the lion’s share, obtaining $ 153 billion in signed contracts. Other transactions included around $ 5 billion in nuclear, oil and gas projects, $ 800 million in information technology and more than $ 600 million in security and security equipment.

Trade officials said the last count underlines a renewed orientation to prioritize American industry and competitiveness abroad.

“Record companies of American companies under the leaders of President Trump reflect an unwavering commitment to rebuilding American industry for the American worker,” said trade secretary Howard Lunick in a statement.

“With record trade agreements abroad, America is again strong, and with the American worker, President Trump transforms the American economy, rebalancing our world trade and restaurants the place of America worldwide,” he added.

Transactions are partly motivated by the ITA defense center, a team from the Commerce Department which helps US companies to compete with foreign government contracts by ensuring that offers are deemed to merit.

“During the first nine months of the Trump administration, ITA Plaidoyer worked tirelessly to win contracts to support hundreds of thousands of American jobs,” said trade secretary William Kimmitt.
