“What they did was so terrible and so corrupt,” Trump told Fox News Digital, referring to those involved in the Trump-Russia investigation. “We had excellent administration, however.”

When asked if Brennan should also be charged, the president told Fox News Digital: “We will have to see what’s going on.”
“It is at the Ministry of Justice, but I can tell you that it is a group of people who were very disappointing,” said the president. “That makes Watergate looks like peanuts.”

Meanwhile, after almost two years, the investigation by former special lawyer Robert Mueller, which ended in March 2019, gave no evidence of criminal conspiracy or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian officials in the 2016 presidential election.
Shortly after, John Durham was appointed special advisor to investigate the origins of the “Crossfire Hurricane” probe.

Durham found that the FBI “did not act” on a “clear warning sign” that the office was “the objective” of an effort led by Clinton to “manipulate or influence the process of applying the law for political ends” before the 2016 presidential election.
“The aforementioned facts reflect a rather surprising and inexplicable failure to consider and adequately incorporate the Intelligence Plan in the FBI decision -making in the survey of crossfire hurricanes,” said Durham’s report.

“Indeed, if the FBI had opened the Crossfire Hurricane investigation as an assessment and, in turn, collected and analyzed concert data with the information of the Clinton Plan Intelligence, it is likely that the information received would have been examined, at least, with a more critical eye,” continued the report.

Durham, in his report, said that the FBI “had not acted on what should have been – when combined with other indisputable facts – a clear warning sign that the FBI could then be the target of an effort to manipulate or influence the process of applying the law to political purposes during the 2016 presidential election.”
