During one of the first Turning Point USA events since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the republican governor Glenn Youngkin shared a message of hope and faith, saying to the students: “You are all the next Charlie Kirk.”

Addressing a crowded auditorium of Virginia Tech University as part of the second judgment “This is the turning point” since the death of Kirk, Youngkin has told students: “You will carry the stick. You will get involved. You will change minds. You will be this renewal.”

Addressing the future, Youngkin said: “The truth is that the question that has been asked many times is:” Who will be the next Charlie? “And as I look in this room and see thousands of you, I want to repeat the best answer I heard.

Despite the murder of Kirk during a similar event at Utah Valley University, Youngkin said that the 31 -year -old conservative chief had left a “plan” to advance the truth in the face of evil.

“That morning, Charlie left us a plan,” he said. “That morning, he left us guidelines to benefit from a man who told the truth again. He left us again with something to think about our own lives. And so, this evening, we have the opportunity to think, and we have the opportunity to go.”

Recalling the firm Christian faith of Kirk, Youngkin told students in the arena: “Each of you is the light. A light that shines in the corner of the room, a light that shines on evil. A light that hunts the darkness that is each of you.”

“A bullet from a sniper taken from a pistol held by someone with a heart of evil tried to silence the truth, tried to silence us all. But you see, the exact opposite,” he said. “There is a revival that spreads in this great nation.”

“One of the things we all liked to Charlie Kirk is that he not only told the truth, but he challenged us. He challenged us to do more than to sit on the sidelines. He challenged us to get involved, to engage in a thoughtful dialogue, of course, to recognize that we should do it with respect, but to fully commit to your convictions.”

Youngkin also congratulated Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, who since her death has played the role of CEO of Turning Point USA, conducting the crowd in a moment of applause for her and saying: “We see that the next Turning Point chief is the person who knew Charlie the best, someone who looked in her heart.”
