California Governor’s attempt Gavin Newsom to block the authorities to wear masks during immigration implementation operations is facing a meticulous examination when criticisms postponed the governor’s efforts to affirm the power of federal officers.

Newsom, a democrat, has signed a bill during the weekend which prohibits federal police from carrying masks at work, a decision that Trump administration officials have decreed as illegal and have sworn to ignore. The bill should come into force in January.

“We do not need to respect these garbage,” said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Security on social networks.

The acting American lawyer Bill Essayli of the California central district said on Monday on “Fox & Friends” that he did not think that the Newsom bill was enforceable. Essayli, which was on the Trump administration level on its aggressive immigration application tactics in California, predicted that Newsom would continue.

“I think what the governor could do is to bring legal action,” said Essayli. “He could introduce himself to a judge to try to obtain a kind of order, but we are very confident. The state of California does not and cannot have competence.”

Newsom’s measurement was part of a series of bills that the governor has signed to counter the Trump administration, which since the summer has carried out controversial immigration raids across California. The Supreme Court recently paved the way to ICE authorities to continue to carry out immigration judgments in farms, car washing and other places where they suspect that illegal immigrants could be. But the high court did not weigh on the costume of the authorities, which sometimes included masks of identity recommendation and the healer of the neck, according to videos.

“Unmarked cars, people in masks, people disappearing literally, no regular procedure, no rights,” said Newsom, adding: “I will sign a bill, the first of the nation, saying:” Enough, ice, unmasking, what are you afraid of? “”

California lawyer Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor, told Fox News Digital that if the courts end up weighing on Newsom’s bill, they will probably increase the separation of powers and the supremacy clause, the part of the Constitution which says that the federal law prevails over the law of the state.

Rahmani said that if states can impose “reasonable restrictions” on federal police, such as traffic offenses, dictating what officers carry is different.

“You have the imposing state of restrictions on the federal government, and these restrictions can really interfere with their law application of the law, right?” Said Rahmani. “The state says that the unmasking of these federal officials is necessary to restore public confidence, but it is really a security problem, right? They can be doxed. Their families can be endangered, so I can easily see these specific regulations being radiated by the courts.”

Essayli accused the governor of using what he described as an “silly” bill to try to “ignite the public”.

“You have this story that people are kidnapped. This is not true,” said Essayli. “They are federal agents. They act under federal law, and if he does not like it, he should change the law.”
