On Friday, three Russian planes bearing ballistic missiles violated Estonia airspace, according to the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The MIG-31 jets flew together, two NATO sources told Fox News Digital.
The jets stole back and forth for more than 12 minutes before the Italian F-35s “push them,” said sources. The jets were able to transport ballistic missiles at high speed and launched by air called Kinzhals, the sources said. We don’t know if they were.
The authorities of the White House could not be attached immediately about the foray.

“Russia has already violated Estonia’s airspace four times this year, which in itself is unacceptable. But today’s incursion, involving three fighter planes entering our airspace, is unprecedented,” said Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna. “The increasingly extensive tests of Russia of borders and increasing aggressiveness must be welcomed by a rapid increase in political and economic pressures.”

Estonia plans to request consultations from article 4.
Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty allows any member of NATO to request consultations with other allies when he considers that his territorial integrity, his political independence or his security is threatened. It does not automatically trigger a military response, as does article 5, but it is often used as a serious diplomatic alert signal.
The incident occurs just a few days after Poland accused Russia of having violated its airspace with more than a dozen drones during a large bombing of Ukraine. Warsaw reported that at least 19 drones had crossed the Polish territory of Bélarus and Ukraine, forcing the closings of temporary airports and blurring the air defenses of NATO.
