Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz criticized a United Nations report accusing Israel of genocide, warning that the Trump administration and the Congress had tools at their disposal to sanction the people behind.
The report, published Tuesday by the United Nations International International Inquiry in the Palestinian Territoire Occupied (COI), said: “The State of Israel is responsible for the inability to prevent the genocide, the genocide commission and the failure to punish the genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Cruz said: “The latter announces from the United Nations is no different from that of other anti -Semitic smear and defamations which were raised against Israel in their continuous response to the atrocities of Hamas on October 7.
“This campaign directly undermines the interests of American national security by eroding Israel’s freedom of action against Hamas terrorists who killed the Americans and fueling international law against Israel, which will be turned against American services, and in fact American citizens in general. The administration of Républicaine and the Republican Congress have developed this trave and sanctions.

Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust and president of Human Rights Voices, told Fox News Digital that “the last report of the UN ‘` `investigation’ ‘promotes the genocide – against the Jews”.
Bayefsky said that the report “rationalizes obscurely the crimes against humanity committed by Hamas and other Palestinians on October 7 as an understandable reaction to previous Israeli wrongs” and “downgraded mass murder, rape, torture and trauma of the Israelis”.
Bayefsky said the COI, which had already been accused of having omitted important facts of its reports, “does no recommendation for Hamas”. She also said that the report mentions the Turrorist group’s tunnel network, which was “an integral part of the atrocities of October 7”, “only” in the context of Israel’s criticism “.

Salo Aizenberg, director of the media surveillance group, HonestREporting, postponed the assertion of the CO report according to which Israel has “impact measures (ED) intended to prevent births”. He told Fox News Digital: “If Israel was really aimed at destroying the Gaza population, why did he allow who teams up earlier in 2025 to vaccinate 603,000 children under the age of 10-corresponding to 7 pre-October issues?”
He noted that this “does not take into account that more than 20,000 Gaza deaths are Hamas fighters and other armed groups, obscuring the true dynamics of the conflict”.

In its recommendations, the COO report specifically calls on Israel to “ensure full and unhindered access to large -scale humanitarian aid” and “put an end to the distribution of food aid through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”. The report quotes the commissioner general of the controversial agency of relief and works for the Palestinian refugees of the Middle East (UNRWA), which called the GHF “an abomination” and “a death trap” which “costs more lives than it saves”.
According to recent United Nations, however, between July 21 and August 18, there was double the number of deaths along the United Nations (576) convoy roads because there were surrounded GHF sites (259).

In addition, only 14.5% of United Nations aid trucks sent to Gaza have reached their destinations scheduled since May due to looting and armed theft. During the same period, GHF distributed 165 million meals to the Palestinians on its secure distribution sites.
GHF published a statement explaining that the COI published its report “without ever contacting” the organization, qualifying its declarations “of lies which could have been easily corrected if we had been requested”. GHF said that there had not been shots on its sites, and that the assertions, especially that the children were slaughtered, are “not only false” but “reckless”.

While the COI is currently putting a specific blame on three Israeli officials for the alleged genocide, the member of COI, Chris Sidoti, told the press on Monday, “there are many declarations of Israeli political and civil leaders who encourage genocide, as well as others, including media commentators in Israel, who encouraged a genocide.”
Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary General António Guterres, did not answer questions about the question of Sidoti’s remarks were an attack on the Israeli media.

In response to press questions on the COO report, Guterres said that “it is not in the secretary general’s attributions to make the legal determination of the genocide. Which belongs to the adequate legal entities, namely the International Court of Justice”. Guterres said: “The truth is that it is something that it is morally, politically and legally intolerable.”
Bayefsky said that “US law is retaining the funds for the Co, but it clearly did not have the expected impact”. She argued that it was “high time” to do “much more to put an end to the dangers that the UN and its coast take in the United States and in Israel”.
