The major drone safety operation launched for the British royal visit of Trump

British police on Wednesday prepared the sky in a major police initiative in the visit of President Donald Trump by using a fleet of drones and other “complete” security measures around the castle of Windsor.

The Thames Valley police forces led the accusation with one of its greatest deployments of drone and sky closings from Tuesday, one day before the second unprecedented state visit with King Charles III.

“There will be police drone tactics that the public will see, as well as police drone tactics that the public will not see,” said inspector Matthew Wilkinson in a statement before the event. “All of this is in place to ensure everyone’s safety.”

The Thames Valley police would not answer questions from Fox News Digital concerning how this police event compares to other major visits to the past for “operational reasons”, although local relationships have declared that the efforts taken for Wednesday’s visit have not been seen since the king’s crowning in 2023.

The Multi-Forces Safety Front will have “resources all over the city, including in the air, on earth and on the waterways in order to keep everyone safe,” said police at the Thames Valley.

Security precautions, launched for the first time on Tuesday for the rehearsal of the state visit, will continue on Thursday, although Trump should leave the United Kingdom before Friday.

Thames Valley police extended its airspace restrictions at the end of last week at ladies, the Prime Minister’s official residence in the Buckinghashire, about 27 miles north of Windsor, until Thursday evening.

Trump is expected to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday.

“These restrictions apply to all planes, including drones, and are designed to support the safe delivery of the visit while minimizing the disturbance of the local community,” the police said in a statement.

Thames Valley police officials confirmed on Monday that his firearm unit had been “deployed in Windsor as part of the complete security operation”.

A specialized research unit was also deployed in the region during the weekend in what the police said that it was a standard procedure before any major event.

“We will seek everywhere to ensure that everything is certain, before the start of the event,” said police research advisor, Sergeant Amber Timmis, in a statement, noting that the force often works “behind the scenes” to keep the areas safe.

“This research is routine, but it is also important, and we appreciate everyone’s patience when we carry out our security operation,” he added.

A unit of officers mounted on horseback will also patrol the area throughout the 3 -day security event.

Although all the measures taken are common, they come while political violence is at the forefront of American security problems following a series of attacks, including the mortal shooting of the conservative commentator and co-founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, 31, in UTAH less than a week ago.

His death was the last in a series of violent attacks targeting political figures in the past year after two Democratic legislators in Minnesota and their spouses were targeted in June, including state representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, who was shot.

Their murder followed a criminal fire attack on April against the governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, whose residence was struck with Molotov cocktails while he and his family were sleeping.

Trump was also the victim of two assassination attempts when she was on the campaign track last year, including a shooting incident during which her ear was blurred and bloody by a ball a few centimeters from his head.

Although armed violence in the United Kingdom is significantly lower than in the United States, increased security measures are “standard” for all “highly publicized visits and are designed to protect all those involved, including public members,” said Wilkinson.
