A republican of the Chamber says that she plans to deposit a resolution which aims to go beyond representative Ilhan Omar, D-minn., From his committee assignments after the progressive member of “Squad” made shameful remarks “on Charlie Kirk after his assassination last week.
The representative Nancy Mace, RS.C., published on Monday images of a resolution of the Chamber on X which requests the withdrawal of Omar from the Education and Workbooking Commission and the Budget Committee.
“Breaking: we deposit a resolution to strip @ilhan of his committee assignments after his shameful remarks on the assassination of Charlie Kirk,” wrote Mace in the post.
The resolution allegedly alleged that Omar “has coated” Kirk and “implied that he was to blame for his own murder” during an interview with the progressive media Zeteo. He also accused Omar of having republished a video on X who “denigrated the character of Charlie Kirk and those who were crying his death”.
