Lombardo launches the campaign as governor of the most vulnerable gop in America

Republican governor Joe Lombardo of Nevada launched his re -election campaign in 2026 on Monday in the crucial state of Western Battleground.

Lombardo, the only challenger to defeat an outgoing governor in the 2022 elections while ruling the Democratic Governor Steve Sisolak, made Nevada the only Blue Governor in Rouge that year.

Rapid advance of four years and Lombardo, the former sheriff of Las Vegas anchored in the County of Clark, is certain to face a murderous re -election, and is largely considered as the governor of the most risky GOP seeking another mandate.

“I will continue to do everything in my power to prevent Gavin Newson from imposing his left -wing program on Nevada. As long as I am your governor, I will never accept the Californians by telling the Nevadans what to do or by making us pay the price of their bad ideas,” said Lombardo, according to an extract shared with Fox News Digital before delivery.

Lombardo, speaking to Rancho High School in North Las Vegas, where he graduated and launched his first campaign for the governor four years ago, also highlighted his achievements while emphasizing “unfinished affairs” to secure the future of Nevada.

The governor praised the reduction of 600 regulations during its state mandate, and said that Nevada has experienced annual employment growth of four% since 2022, which it presented by making the country’s sixth state for employment growth.

Lombardo also underlined the delivery of the largest investment in education in state history, the signing of a school choice extension bill, a two -figure increase for the application of the law and the allocation of $ 130 million for the middle class housing.

The Association of Democratic Governors (DGA), which described Lombardo as “the most vulnerable republican governor in America,” said her announcement on what she called her “missed record”.

The DGA has argued that Lombardo “is twisted with the nodes trying to defend its disastrous program which left behind the families of workers and small companies in Nevada”.

The Nevada Democratic Party equaled Lombardo to President Donald Trump, slamming the governor for what they billed was his “embrace of Trump’s reckless policies, all of which led to the highest unemployment rates in the nation, to a growing housing crisis and high costs.”
