Kirk was assassinated at an event he held on the University of Utah Valley campus. He was 31 years old. His death rocked the world of sport while the South Carolina was far from being the only team to hold a moment of silence for Kirk.
The NFL honored Kirk before the match Thursday evening between Green Bay packers and Washington commanders. The Los Angeles Dodgers launcher, Blake Treinen, wrote Kirk’s name on his baseball cap and Nascar’s star, Christopher Bell, dedicated his victory to Bristol Motor Speedway.

“He inspired us not to be afraid of using our voice; so as not to be afraid to speak to our minds,” said Mia Weathers, president of the Turning Point USA section of South South Carolina Allow 2 news. “He inspired us to continue to fight for what we believed, and he just opened the way and laid the foundations for many of us.”
Kirk was struck by a single ball around 12:20 p.m. local time on the University of Utah Valley campus in Orem on Wednesday. He was mainly surrounded by students when his event was underway.
