“You enter this locker room, you have guys from different breeds, guys from different backgrounds, different religions, and you have a team that loves. Tons of differences. Hence they come from, what they treat, and finally you have a team that love each other, and I think we are missing in our country,” said Lanning.

Lanning has already talked about armed violence before, and he made his voice heard on Saturday, condemning the “evil” which led to the assassination of Kirk as well as to the children’s shots of the children.

“I recently discovered that Charlie Kirk was a fan of Oregon, right? I did not know that. I was hurting myself for his wife, Erika, and their children. This kind of harm should never exist in our country, and that’s what it is – evil. I remember having to explain this to my family, right?

“But it is just as sad – every day, it seems that we manage a kind of violence that happens in our country, whether it is Colorado schoolchildren or minnesota children in churches. I mean, life counts, and I think we have lost sight of it. But I want the world to learn a little of our locker room, because we have had a group of people.

Lanning also had a powerful message for those who disagreed with him on political and social issues.

“I just know that – I love you. I love you absolutely, right? And life is important. And there is no way that Charlie knows, that his family feels, there is no way that this evil exists in this world.”

Lanning then called for a reform of firearms for “patients” and more protection for children in schools.

“And we must continue to identify it and emphasize it and ensure that it is absolutely bad. There is no reason in the world that our children, that we have to worry about sending our children to school. It is not our most precious merchandise in the world. They should be protected. And reality is that there is simply not much good sense on both sides.
