Employee secret services on leave after celebrating Kirk’s assassination

An employee of the secret services was put on immediate leave after celebrating the assassination of the founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk in an article on social networks, confirmed Fox News Digital.

“The American secret services will not tolerate the behavior that violates our code of conduct. This employee was immediately put on administrative leave, and an investigation started,” a spokesman for Fox News Digital, a spokesman for Fox News Digital, said on Friday afternoon, questioned about Anthony Pough’s employment status.

Pough had celebrated Kirk’s shocking assassination in an article on Facebook, which included the accusation of the brands, conservative fire killed to spit “racism”.

Real Clear Politics reported that Pough was in the “phase 2” of his career with the agency, but had not yet been assigned to a detail regularly protecting President Donald Trump. The secret services have three phases for special agents, with phase 2 focused on protection assignments and phase 3 focused on “the post-protection field, protection or mission of the headquarters”, according to the Secret Service website.

Pough blamed “Karma” for Kirk’s assassination in the inflammatory Facebook publication.

The Republican Senator of Tennessee, Marsha Blackburn, called on Thursday the immediate termination of the employee of the secret services in a letter to the director of secret services Sean Curran.

“While our nation cries the devastating loss of Charlie Kirk, a thug @SecretService Agent posted on Facebook suggesting that he deserved to be murdered. I call the immediate termination of this agent. It is time to fold the rot in the secret services, “she posted on X, accompanied by a screenshot of her letter to Curran.

Kirk attended a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon, when only one blow rang and hit Kirk in the neck. He was transported to a local hospital and was declared dead a few hours later.

Kirk leaves his wife behind him, Erika Kirk, as well as their two children, aged 1 and 3 years old. The Kirks were married in 2021.

Vice-president JD Vance and the second Lady Usha Vance accompanied the Kirk coffin in Arizona, where he resided with his family, Thursday via Air Force Two.

Trump announced Friday morning during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” that the police had apprehended a suspect in the case. Tyler Robinson, 22, was then identified as the suspect in the assassination.

“We obtained it on the evening of September 11,” the Governor of Utah Spencer Cox announced on Friday morning.

“A member of the family of Tyler Robinson contacted a family friend who contacted the Sheriff’s Bureau of the County of Washington with information that Robinson had confessed to them or had suggested that he had committed the incident.”
