FEMA worker experienced a leave to snap an honor from Semi-Staff for Charlie Kirk

First on Fox: DHS and Secretary Kristi Noem Place an employee of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on administrative leave after an analyst of data complained that the flags were flying to half of the staff in memory of Charlie Kirk, referring to the conservative activist as a “racist homophobic misogynist”.
DHS sources have confirmed to Fox News Digital that Gavin Sylvia, who has been working with FEMA since November 2024, has questioned President Donald Trump’s order to fly American flags at half of the staff in the memory of Charlie Kirk, who was murdered in UTAH during an event on Wednesday.
“Half of the staff of the literal racist misogynist,” said Sylvia on Instagram.
“The words of this employee are revolting and inadmissible,” a spokesperson for FEMA told Fox News Digital. “Celebrating the death of an American colleague is appalling, unacceptable and disgusting.”

“Such behavior does not reflect the values of the public service, and it will not be tolerated among the individuals responsible for working at FEMA,” continued the spokesperson. “We expect all civil servants to respect the highest level of professionalism, respect and integrity.”
DHS confirmed to Fox News Digital that Sylvia had been officially placed on administrative leave.
DHS sources also told Fox that Sylvia’s comments were shameful and that the data analyst had no place in the Department of Internal Security or in any agency of the federal government.
Sylvia’s leave comes while other federal agencies closely monitor employees’ social media activity and responses to Kirk murder.

“It is unacceptable that military staff and civilians in the War Department celebrate or make fun of the assassination of an American colleague,” said the assistant of the Secretary of War Sean Parnell Posted on X“The Ministry of War has zero tolerance for it.”
The United States Coast Guard Posted on X To say that any activity on social networks which approves the murder or slander of Charlie Kirk “is contrary to our fundamental values”.
Senior federal employees of the Trump administration told Fox News Digital that they were not satisfied with “weak people” who hit Kirk on the Internet after his death.
