The murder of Charlie Kirk is the last case of growing political violence

Before Charlie Kirk was killed on a campus of the college of Utah, political violence already increased at the national level, from the assassination attempt by President Donald Trump to the manor of the Governor of Pennsylvania attacked by an incendiary fire during the Pâque Seder.
Kirk, 31, was shot dead by an unknown assassin while he was addressed to a massive crowd at the University of Utah Valley on Wednesday.
Kirk’s death sparked international indignation and mourning of figures, including Utah Governor, Spencer Cox, Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Charlie Kirk was assassinated for having told the truth and defended freedom,” said Netanyahu, who called Kirk a “friend at the heart of the Lion of Israel” who had planned a holy trip before being murdered.
Trump has faced two assassination attempts in recent years.
Ryan Routh, the suspect of the second alleged attempt, is currently in court in Fort Pierce, Florida, after having allegedly marked a nearby golf course on which Trump was playing.
In 2024, Trump was shot down by Thomas M. Crooks when he was addressed to a rally in the county of Butler, in Pennsylvania.
Crooks, who had traveled a suburb of Pittsburgh, was shot dead by the police, and Trump said he would have been killed if he had not turned his head to the last second to describe a graphic on illegal immigration statistics.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, a Democrat presidential candidate probably in 2028, would have been targeted in another attack earlier this year.
