Trump announces a Princeton student, Elizabeth Tsurkov, released by Hezbollah

President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the doctoral student at Princeton University Elizabeth Tsurkov was published by Kata’ib Hezbollah, a group supported by Iran designated by the United States as a terrorist organization.

Tsurkov, a double Russian-Israeli citizen, was “just released” by Kata’ib Hezbollah, and is now safe inside the American embassy in Iraq, the president wrote in a social article of truth.

“I will always fight for justice and I will never give up,” Trump wrote in the post. “Hamas, release the hostages now!”

Tsurkov was removed in Baghdad 2023 while carrying out research for his thesis, according to previous reports. She has traveled in the country alone, with her Russian passport.

Trump noted in the position that Tsurkov was “tortured for several months”.

His current state has not been released.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu The office previously called for the release of Tsurkov, noting that the country was holding Iraq responsible for its security and well-being.

Tsurkov, which is also affiliated with the New Lines Institute in Washington, has established itself as an expert in regional business and was regularly presented in the international media before its disappearance.
