Nepal triggers kill 19 people, demonstrators make the torch and the houses

On Tuesday, the protests of Nepal against the government became violent through the Himalayan nation with officials confirming that at least 19 people were killed and hundreds of other injured, Reuters reported.

The demonstrators, mainly young people of generation Z, burned the parliament and the houses of government representatives, stormed the prisons and forced the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in the national capital of Kathmandu.

Reports of local media said the demonstrators would have set fire to the house of former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal with his wife, Ravi Laxmi Chitrakar, inside the Dallu residence.

The United States Embassy in Kathmandu has urged citizens to avoid large rallies.

Nepal army chief Ashok Raj Sigdel warned that the military could “take control of the situation” if violence continues, although he called on the demonstrators for dialogue.
