The ordinance of the Supreme Court is a major victory for the Trump administration because it promulgates an aggressive expulsion program across the country. The majority of the Supreme Court did not include an explanation, but judge Brett Kavanaugh, one appointed by Trump, offered a concordant opinion in which he declared that the reasonable requirement of suspicion was not a high bar and that the ice could very well have met this bar. A combination of factors, including the race, could provide the authorities with reasonable suspicion to arrest a person and learn about their immigration status, said Kavanaugh.
“To be clear, the apparent ethnic origin cannot provide reasonable suspicions; under the case law of this court concerning immigration judgments, however, it can be a” relevant factor “when considered with other salient factors,” wrote Kavanaugh.
The Ministry of Internal Security celebrated the emergency decision on Monday in a statement, saying that it would not allow the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, a democrat, to protect illegal immigrants with criminal history.
“A victory for the security of the Californians and the rule of law,” said a spokesperson for the DHS. “The DHS police forces will not be slowed down and will continue to stop and remove the murderers, the rapists, the gang members and other criminals that Karen Bass continues to give the port of Safe.”

Judge Sonia Sotomayor and appointed by Obama filed a dissent, affirming that the emergency order in light of the raids was “disturbing” because the majority gave no explanation to this decision, which, according to her, was “unconsciously irreconcilable” with the Constitution.
“We must not have to live in a country where the government can seize anyone Latino, speaks Spanish and seems to work at low wages,” wrote Sotomayor.

The American Civil Liberties Union, one of the groups contesting the Trump administration, said that the high court sanctioned racial profiling.
“For anyone perceived as Latino by an ice agent, it means to live in a scary scheme of” Papers please “, with risks of arrests and violent ice detention,” said Cecillia Wang, national legal director of ACLU, adding that her organization would continue his legal struggle in the ninth circuit.
