Carolina’s Democratic Governor of the North, Josh Stein broke his silence on the murder of a Ukrainian refugee on a Charlotte train after having faced animated criticisms during the weekend so as not to have spoken earlier despite the release of a brutal video of the attack.

Police said Brown and Zarutska did not know each other and that the attack had been random.

Zarutska’s death has renewed calls for public security action in Charlotte. The members of the Municipal Council of Charlotte expressed their concern after the murder of Zarutska concerning violence on the city’s public transport system.
