President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the G20 2026 summit will be organized in his Doral Resort in Miami, Florida.
Trump shared the decision at a press conference in the oval office, noting that the location was ideal because of its proximity to the airport.
“It will be a very exciting thing to welcome the G20,” said Trump. “While we are celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country next year, the United States will have the honor of welcoming exactly that. The G20 summit here in America, for the first time in almost 20 years.”

The director of the National Economic Council, Kevin Hassett, will act as principal coordinator of the summit, and the secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent will organize the agenda, according to the president.
Trump noted that he would not make money from the event.
During its first mandate, the Trump administration considered the Doral Resort to welcome the G7 2020 summit, although the idea was abandoned due to “crazy and irrational media and democrats,” Trump wrote in an article on October 2019 social networks.
