His motivation for returning was to disrupt the world of Yoo Eun Suk’s character, who he believes witnessed as his cruel grandfather tried to kill him. He knows that his wife, Hee Joo, is the only real thing in Baek Sae On’s fake life. Making her the perfect pawn in his plan for revenge.
