Chamber Mike Johnson criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom for his “anti-Christian rhetoric” following the fatal shooting in Minnesota.

Johnson, speaking at his first press conference since the legislators returned from prolonged recreation, noted that the Democratic Governor had taken him personal blows in recent weeks and accused Newsom of having “shamelessly” the victims of the Catholic shooting of the Annunciation, where two children were killed and 17 people injured in the morning mass.

The Louisiana Republican underlined Newsom’s post on X in response to the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, who condemned the former press secretary of the White House and the current comments of MSNBC Jen Psaki criticizing the effusion of “thoughts and prayers” and the lack of concentration on the control of firearms.

Leavitt criticized Psaki’s comments as “incredibly insensitive and disrespectful” to the Americans of the faith.

“These children literally prayed when they fell,” Newsom retaliated.

Johnson called Newsom’s remarks “sick”.

“I mean, like, why would we do that? Why would you do that? Except that you are hungry for attention,” he said. “It is detestable. Two children were murdered. More than a dozen were hospitalized, and Gavin Newsom’s response was to sneer and condemn those who are looking for our creator in the darkest moments.”

“I thought it was, I just thought it was bad. In fact, it indicates a moral decadence as deep as the only hope for Gavin Newsom is prayer.”

Newsom went to social networks again to respond to the speaker and quoted a biblical verse that said “and when you pray, do not be like hypocrites, because they like to pray standing in synagogues and in the corners of the street to be seen by others. Really I tell you, they have their full reward.”

The whip of the majority of the chamber, Tom Emmer, R-minn., Accused that the shooting was the result of democratic policies and a crisp crisis of mental health across the country.

“The way to follow is to fight against the mental health crisis and to allow the police to repress crime, just as President Trump did here in the capital of our country,” he said.

While the Republicans condemned the shooting, blamed the Democrats and called for the next day prayer, the Democratic legislators took a different path similar to that of Newsom.

“Don’t just say:” These are thoughts and prayers at the moment. “These children literally prayed,” said the mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, d-minn., After the shooting. “They should be able to go to school or to the church in peace without fear or risk of violence, and their parents should have the same kind of insurance.”

Others, including the chief of the Senate minorities, Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., and the minority chief of the Hakeem Jeffries Chamber, DN.Y., called on Congress to take measures on the control of firearms.
