Israel eliminates Prime Minister Houthis Ahmed al-Rahawi in Yemen strike

Israeli defense forces said on Saturday that she killed Prime Minister Houthi and several other senior officials during a strike in Yemen.

“Prime Minister Houthis, Ahmed al-Rahawi, as well as other senior officials from the Houthi terrorist regime were eliminated during an FDI strike in Sanaa, Yemen,” the FDI said in a social media position.

The FDI said that it had targeted a Houthi installation where managers “of the use of force, military accumulation of the Houthi terrorist regime and the advancement of terrorist actions against Israel. The FDI will continue to target all threats against Israeli civilians”.

The air strike was carried out by the Israeli Air Force Thursday, using information collected by the FDI.

“The strike was made possible by seizing an intelligence opportunity and finishing a quick operational cycle, which took place in a few hours,” said the FDI.

A Houthi statement confirmed the death of Al-Rahawi.

It was Israel’s second strike against the Houthis in Yemen in a week.

Sunday, Israel struck the capital of Yemen in response to the missiles pulled by the Houthis. The attack killed six people and injured 86 others, according to Reuters, who quoted a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health Houthi.

The FDI previously declared that the Houthis operated under the direction of Iran to harm Israel and its allies. The FDIs also blamed the Houthis for having “undermined regional stability and disrupted world freedom of navigation”.

Thursday’s strikes were launched after Israel intercepted two Yemen drones, and occurred during a speech by chef Houthi Abdul-Malik Badddddin al-Houthi, according to Ynet. In addition, the Israeli point of sale said that the speech continued without interruption.

The conflict between Israel and the Houthis has been going on for almost two years.
