A federal court of appeal judged that most of President Donald Trump’s prices are illegal.

“We affirm the detention of the CT according to which the traffic and the reciprocal prices imposed by the disputed decrees exceed the authority delegated to the president by the text of the IEEPA”, the opinion of the American Court of Appeal based in Washington in the States of the Federal Circuit.

“We also affirm the granting of the declaratory recovery CIT that the orders are invalid contrary to the law.”

During a vote of 7-4, the divided court allowed the prices to stay in place until October 14 to give the Trump administration a chance to appeal to the United States Supreme Court.

On Truth Social, Trump criticized the decision, saying that all prices were still in force.

“Today, a highly partisan court of appeal said that our prices should be deleted, but they know that the United States of America will finally win. If these prices disappeared, it would be a total disaster for the country,” he wrote.

“It would make us financially weak, and we must be strong. The United States will no longer tolerate huge trade deficits and unfair rates and non-tariff commercial barriers imposed by other countries, friends or enemies, who undermine our manufacturers, our farmers and all the others.”

Trump made prices a pillar of his second term to force other nations to renegotiate trade agreements with the United States and give the United States economic concessions.

“President Trump legally exercised the tariff powers which have been granted to defend our national and economic security against foreign threats. The president’s prices remain in force, and we are impatiently awaiting the ultimate victory on this subject.” White House spokesman Kush Desai told Fox News.

Prices revenues totaled $ 142 billion by July, more than double what it was at the same time the previous year. Congress has the power to impose taxes, including prices. However, in recent decades, legislators have sold the authority to the president, reported the Associated Press.

In question, the legality of Trump’s attempt to use the International Economic Economic Powers (IEEPA) – an emergency law of 1977 – to promulgate steep import costs and impose additional rates on certain business partners.

The Trump administration argued that the courts had approved the urgent use of prices by President Richard Nixon in an economic crisis in 1971 which was born from Chaos which followed its decision to put an end to a policy connecting the US dollar at the price of gold, according to AP.

Trump used the ieepa law to promulgate prices during his April 2 event “Day Day”.

In his article, Trump said that allowing the decision to stand on Friday “would literally destroy the United States of America.”

“At the beginning of this Labor Day weekend, we must all remember that prices are the best tool to help our workers and support companies that produce Great Made in America products,” he said.

“For many years, the prices have been authorized to be used against us by our insensitive and reckless politicians. Now, with the help of the Supreme Court of the United States, we will use them for the benefit of our nation and will once again make America rich, strong and powerful! Thank you for your attention to this question.”
