Russia kills 10, hurts 38 in a drone and a large -scale missile attack

Russia launched a large -scale attack on kyiv overnight, killing 10 people, injuring at least 38 others and damage to buildings, Ukrainian officials announced Thursday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a child was killed in the drone and missile attack.
“Right now in kyiv, the first stakeholders are cleaning the rubble of an ordinary residential building after a Russian strike,” said Zelenskyy on X.
“Russia chooses ballistics instead of the negotiating table. He chooses to continue killing instead of ending the war.

Zelenskyy added that it was “certainly time for new difficult sanctions against Russia for everything he does”.
“All the deadlines have already been broken, dozens of ability to graze in ruination. Russia must feel responsible for each strike, for each day of this war. Eternal memory to all the victims of Russia,” he said.
The Ukrainian Air Force said it had shot down 563 of the 598 drones and 26 of the 31 missiles launched by Russia in an attack across the country. He said 13 locations were affected and that the debris fell to 26 locations.
“Unfortunately, the style of the Russians is typical of their attacks,” wrote Tymur Tkachenko, head of the military administration of kyiv, on Telegram.
“Combined strikes, of different directions. And systematic, targeting ordinary residential buildings,” added the post.

Officials said that many buildings had suffered damage, including several high -rise buildings.
In the Darnytskyi district, a five -story building was partly destroyed and the rescue teams sought the rubble of trapped people, said Tkachenko.
He said that the emergency teams had responded to the consequences of attacks in more than 20 locations in the city.
The fires also broke out in the city areas.

António Costa, president of the European Council, said that he was “horrified by another night of deadly Russian missile attacks against Ukraine”.
“My thoughts concern the Ukrainian victims and also with the staff of @Eudelegationua, whose building was damaged in this deliberate Russian strike,” he wrote on X.
“The EU will not be intimidated. The assault of Russia only strengthens our determination to stand with Ukraine and its people,” he added.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry said its air defense systems had intercepted 102 Ukrainian drones overnight.
