Minneapolis – The National Democratic Committee (DNC) postponed its summer meeting in Minneapolis, Minn., Wednesday morning, in the light of the Catholic school, less than 10 minutes away.

By a vocal vote a few minutes from the general session, the DNC postponed its meeting on Wednesday afternoon, approving all cases and adopting the reports of the resolutions, rules and commissioners of the statutes which were voted on Tuesday.

Before postponing, the president of the DNC, Ken Martin, called the committee to prayer and offered the support of the DNC to the first stakeholders on the scene at the Catholic School Annunciation and to those who deal with children in neighboring hospitals.

“This is the first week of school for the students of the Annunciation,” said Martin on Wednesday. “These families woke up this morning to celebrate the milestones of their children’s life. Milestones like the first week of kindergarten. We have a broken heart. It is a tragic day for our city and a tragic day for minnesotans.”

The former president of Minnesota House, Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were murdered at home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, earlier this summer.

“It is unacceptable and far too common in our nation. It is simply too much currency.

Martin is from Minnesota and seasoned local chief. He was the oldest president of the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor (DFL) party, holding the post for more than a decade before becoming president of DNC earlier this year.

DNC vice-president Shasti Conrad echoes Martin’s comments in an exclusive interview, telling Fox News Digital that armed violence has become “far too common”.

“I join our entire Democratic family to send our condolences to people who have been affected today, but they join hundreds and hundreds of people who have been affected by armed violence across this country,” said Conrad.

Conrad said the Democrats should “prevent armed violence at the top of our program”.

“We must continue to defend people and make sure that we create safe communities across the country, but it is certainly a really dark day, and the whole family of the Democratic party feels it a lot,” she said after adding the DNC meeting.

The news of the shooting broke a few minutes before Martin addressed the Democrats at the meeting of the executive committee on Wednesday morning.

“I just want to announce a few news,” said Martin. “I don’t try to surprise or shock any

“It is a very, very tragic period for this community at the moment. The news that breaks is that there are 20 victims, almost all children,” said Martin.

Andrew Lachman, member of the DNC Committee in California, told Fox News Digital: “This should not happen.”

“The fact that schools are attacked testify to the state of this nation. Armed violence is always something that we continue to put on the rear seat and not to approach,” he added.
