O’Connell left the match in the second quarter and did not return. He had 3 of the 4 people out of 36 yards before undergoing the injury.
“He fractured his wrist – he is injured – it will take some time,” said Carroll. “It’s a blow for us.”
Las Vegas selected O’Connell in the fourth round of the NFL 2023 recovery from Purdue. He received 17 departures in 20 appearances for Las Vegas since then. The situation of the quarter of the raids had been in disarray for some time due to the injuries and the players who leave.

Derek Carr was a quarter-Arrière leaving in 2022, but the two separated and he signed with the New Orleans before the start of the 2023 season. O’Connell, Jimmy Groppolo, Brian Hoyer, Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder have all started quarter matches since the departure of Carr.
Carroll played Smith and Cam Miller in the team’s pre-season match against the cardinals. He said he was too early to say if Miller will be placed in QB2 square for the 2025 season.
