120 Corgi teams from all over Europe participate in the event in Lithuania

Thousands of people spilled in the capital of Lithuania this weekend for Corgi Race Vilnius, where 120 teams of fur competitors and their European owners have become nose.

Corgi Race Vilnius – A two -day event organized in the capital of Lithuania – allowed the Welsh Pembroke and the Cardigan Corgis to show their skills in racing, a solo sprint, puzzle and costume competitions and a “more powerful” competition, according to the event website.

The teams have traveled from countries across Europe – including Latvia, Poland, Austria, Italy and Germany – to participate in the event, reported the Associated Press.

“Vilnius will turn into a center of the Corgi universe, and we want each dog lover to be part of it”, as indicated on the Vilnius Corgi Race website.

The event ended on Sunday with the World Corgi Meetup, where the Lithuanian Corgis connected practically with other puppies in Ireland, the United States and Poland, according to the AP.

“It’s so fun and a great emotion for the whole family, something brilliant that many people want these days,” a retired teacher brought her three grandchildren to the event.

A Corgi called Amigo, who wore a suit on the theme of the factory, claimed first place in the costume competition. Other four -legged competitors were dressed as a princess, Batman and even an airplane, according to AP.

“It is therefore a mango, like a mango of fruit, and we participate (for the) second time in Corgi race 2025,” a lover of Vilnius told AP Ignas Klimaika. “Last year, we did not manage to end the race. We really had a good training. We had trained every day, but this year, we decided that we were going without training, just to participate, just to take advantage of all the prizes of Corgis.”

Klimaika added: “He knows what he did, and he is really proud of him.”

Last year, Corgi Race Vilnius brought together 100 corgis from five countries and attracted nearly 7,000 fans, according to the event website.
