The best British diplomat found himself in hot water recently after causing the US vice -president JD Vance – but it was only politicians discussed.
British Foreign Minister David Lammy received a written warning from the country’s fishing agency without a license, the agency announced on Friday.
Lammy had invited Vance and his family to his country area south of London, where the pair had a photo shoot in a neighboring river.
The couple also held a bilateral meeting during the visit to discuss international issues.

The agency said that anyone over 13 should have a license to fish in fresh water in the country. The agency did not say if Vance had a license, citing confidentiality problems.
If he had been sentenced to a fine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs should have paid nearly $ 4,000.

Lammy bought a late fishing permit and reported to the agency, with a spokesman calling the incident an “administrative error”.
Lammy previously told journalists that Vance had given him fishing advice “in Kentucky style”, but that has still not helped him to catch anything.
“The only pressure on the special relationship is that all my children caught fish, but the Minister of Foreign Affairs did not do it,” joked Vance at the time.
