FBI raids at home at home and John Bolton’s office on classified documents Probe: Report

Friday morning, FBI agents made a descent into the former National Security Advisor of Bethesda, in the MD. The agents also made a descent into the Bolton DC office.
The reason behind the raids was linked to an allegations investigation according to which Bolton sent classified documents to his family from a private messaging server while working at the White House, according to the New York Post. The position cited a Trump administration official who said that FBI director Kash Patel had ordered the RAID.
The point of sale has also indicated that the search mandates which are not yet allowed refer to a controversy over its memories to establish a model of behavior. However, a senior American official told the post that the investigation was a “clean break” of the investigation concerning Bolton’s book.

Shortly after the start of the raid, Patel wrote on X that “no one is above the law … Agents (FBI) on mission”.
The deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, shared the post and wrote: “Public corruption will not be tolerated.”
Bolton, who served in Trump’s first administration, was not arrested or placed in police custody. Trump revoked his security authorization and his details on the secret services in January 2025.
Trump was asked about the raid on Friday and said he didn’t know him in advance, saying that he had seen him on television. The president then clearly indicated his disdain for his former national security advisor.
“I’m not a fan of John Bolton. It’s a real lowlife,” Trump told journalists. He then called Bolton “not an intelligent guy” and said “he could be very antipatriotic”.

The president also said that Bolton was “a very quiet person except on television if he could say something wrong about Trump”.
vice-president Jd vance Friday, “Meet the Press” said that “we are in the early stadiums of an underway investigation into John Bolton”. Vance denied that Bolton was targeted for criticizing Trump.
A source familiar with the Bolton Raid and the evidence used to justify it told Fox News Digital that “Bolton really had a cheek to attack Trump on his management of classified information”, but would not give more details.

Bolton criticized Trump processing classified documents after the FBI went down to Mar-A-Lago in 2022. Trump was then charged with 37 crime charges, which extended to 40 before the deletion of the case in July 2024.
During Trump’s first administration, an investigation into classified documents was launched but closed later by the Biden administration. The Ministry of Justice argued that Bolton’s memories in 2020, “the room where it happened”, contained classified equipment and tries to prevent it from publishing.

The FBI and Bolton office refused to comment on the issue.
