One of former president Joe Biden’s most loyal defenders during the last year of his presidency met only the former commander -in -chief twice while working in the White House, said a high -level republican.
The chairman of the Chamber’s supervisory committee, James Comer, R-Ky., Held the interview transcribed to Ian Sams, who was the best spokesperson on questions related to congress surveys and other surveys in the last two years of the Biden administration.
“It was probably the most instructive transcribed interview The deposit of the oblique bar that we have had so far. I will give Mr. Sams a credit. He answered our questions,” commered to journalists.
“I think that one of the most shocking things for me is … He communicated twice with Joe Biden. He saw Joe Biden, spoke to Joe Biden twice, all the passage as spokesperson for the White House, but nevertheless he – every day – Tweete and would publish statements of the White House podium.”

Comer told Fox News Digital in a statement following the interview that Sams interacted with Biden on four times in total – two meetings in person, a virtual meeting and a telephone call.
Sams left the White House notably in August 2024, before the Republicans began to question the use of the Biden autopen and before the countless Clemence orders were signed by the former president. But he defended Biden during some of the most politically substantial moments of his mandate.
The leftist length agent was a main advisor and spokesperson for the Board of the White House Bureau from May 2022 to August 2024, where he was a fierce defender of Biden during the House Republicans surveys on his ties with the Foreign Affairs of Family members and the Special Lawyer Robert Hur’s probe on the management by Bided of classified documents.
In particular, Sams criticized the conclusions “erroneous” and “inaccurate” in the report of Hur on Biden in the comments of the press in February 2024. Hur had refused to charge Biden, writing that “at the trial, Mr. Biden would probably present himself to a jury, as he did during our bad interview”, as a sympathetic, well, a man less with a bad memory. “”
Biden’s long -standing assistant said he had to win up to $ 8 million if the president had re -elected
Commer, however, told journalists on Thursday, “in fact, Robert Hur spent more time with Joe Biden than Ian Sams.”
“Ian Sams is the one who counter all Robert Hur or at any time suggested that Joe Biden was not mentally fit. He would say no, he is at the top of his game,” said Commer. “He interacted with the president twice, all the time. All the time he worked in the White House.”
A few days after Biden’s disastrous debate in June 2024 against President Donald Trump, Sams rejected the investigation of the House Republicans into the former doctor of the White House of Biden – just one of the many cases he vehemently defended Biden’s mental acuity against the exam.

“The Americans question President Biden’s ability to direct the country,” Comer wrote to Dr. Kevin O’Connor in early July 2024. “The supervisory committee concerns your medical assessments that were influenced by your private commercial efforts with the Biden family”
Sams said to Newsweek In response, “here is again, pushing their crazy and discredited conspiracy theories to mark another success on (Maria de Fox News) Bartiromo.”
He also told MSNBC a few days after this debate that Biden was “clear” and asked “difficult questions”.
Sams went so far as to send a letter to the conference of the Association of White House correspondents like CNN, MSNBC and the Associated Press for their cover of the HUR report.
“When we ask questions:” When you said that, did Joe Biden tell you that? “” Well, you know, I got him from the president. “Did Joe Biden told you that,” Did Joe Biden sent you an email himself? “Well, no. That raises serious concerns and serious questions on who called the shots in the White House,” said Commer.
The Chamber’s supervisory committee examines whether the Biden’s inner circle has worked to hide signs of mental decline in the former president, and if executive actions have been signed via autopen without its full knowledge or approval.
Biden and his allies publicly rejected the accusations that he was not behind the decisions he made, however.

“Rather than drawing conclusions from the first -hand experience., Mr. Sams received a large part of his Directorate from the Blanche House and the Inner Circle of Biden. Mr. Sams has repeatedly made wide public allegations on the president’s cognitive state, but he was unable to make these claims on the basis of such limited contact,” Comer in Fox News Digital.
“Mr. Sams’ testimony raises serious questions about who really calls the shots in the White House. We will continue to put pressure for answers to ensure total transparency for the American people.”
