Trump provides for the executive decree to prohibit the vote sent by post after Putin’s advice

President Trump told Brian Glenn of the conservative voice of the real America that he did not want to answer his question because it was “off topic” when he was stood with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders.
Then he started responding a lot.
The idea, it turns out that, started with Vladimir Putin, who has a little experience to stand in power, which is not so difficult if you are a dictator.
My source? Donald Trump.
Zelenskyy accepts the meeting of Trump-Putin constantly, but will the kremlin dictator go?

He said Putin told him that “it was impossible to have a vote by mail and have honest elections”, in an interview with Sean Hannity de Fox. He said that Putin told him that he had won the 2020 elections “by so many things”, as pretended for a long time, “and you lost it because of the vote sent by post. It was a rigged election.”
Music with president’s ears.
Trump was therefore ready when a sympathetic journalist asked the question.

“Postal bulletins are corrupt,” he said. “Postal bulletins, you can never have a real democracy with voting bulletins by mail, and we, as a republican party, will do everything possible to get rid of postal bulletins. We are going to start with an executive decree which is written at the moment by the best lawyers in the country to end the postal bulletins because they are corrupt.”
He warmed up.
“And, you know, that we are the only country in the world, I think I can be wrong, but almost the only country in the world that uses (ballots send yourself) because of what happened, massive fraud everywhere. Results, the machines, I mean, they say that we are going to have the results in two weeks with paper ballots.
A little verification of the facts is in order.
As Axios points out, many countries around the world have a form of postal vote. And millions of Americans who live abroad, such as the families of the military, are eligible for sending to their ballots.
Trump actually has the power to do so. While he says that states are an “agent” of the authorities, the Constitution indicates that the mechanisms of election hold “will be prescribed in each state by the legislator of the latter”. But the congress can modify these requirements. Could the president travel through the narrow majorities of the two chambers?
“This is fraud,” said Trump, adding: “It is time for Republicans to become difficult and stop it because Democrats want it, it’s the only way to get elected.”

Trump even invoked Jimmy Carter. In 2004, a commission set up by the former president and former assistant of Reagan James Baker III concluded that “the absent bulletins remain the greatest source of potential electoral fraud”.
In 2020, Trump went in favor of voting ballots by mail, arguing that they would help the Republicans. Of course, he may have just tried to get the most out of the tools already in place. No party believes in unilateral disarmament.
But his enthusiasm for postal bulletins in this election contrasts strongly with his current position according to which they are corrupt and should be prohibited.
Trump ended up saying to Brian Glenn, who goes out with Marjorie Taylor Greene, “I’m glad you asked this question.”

The president does not allow himself to be bound by the rules of coherence that most conventional politicians must obey. Last Friday, he insisted on a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine as a prerequisite for any peace agreement. After the summit of Alaska, he abandoned the idea of ceasefire that Zelenskyy had demanded, since his country is bombed every day, with important civilian victims, and adopted Putin’s position to allow the war to continue to freeze its military gains in the crucial region of Donbas.

But this flexibility – what criticisms call the tips – has put the president in the position where he has a chance to mark a peace agreement, although major obstacles remain.

So I expect that we hear much more on how the ballots by mail are horrible and bad in the coming months, but if it can advance its hill allies is an open question.
