After the return of the Texas Democratic legislators on Monday after leaving the State for two weeks, President Donald Trump urged the state’s legislature to move quickly to adopt a very controversial redistribution bill, saying: “Please pass this card as soon as possible.”

In the midst of a day meeting filled with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders, Trump urged Texas leaders to act quickly, writing in a social article of truth that the redistribution bill is “one of the most popular initiatives that I have ever supported”.

He thanked the Governor of Texas Greg Abbott, Lieutenant-Governor Dan Patrick, the president of the Dust Burrows State and the Texas Legislative Assembly for their “excellent work”.

“The legislators of the republican states in the great state of Texas, which I like, and won three times three times, including with 6.4 million votes in 2024 (by far the most votes in history!), I have just presented a new bill for a great and beautiful card of Congress!” wrote Trump.

“It is wonderful to see the Republicans all over the upwards to save our country. It is one of the most popular initiatives that I have ever supported,” he continued, adding: “Republicans love to watch us fight for a big cause. Please pass this card, thank you. Thank you to Texas-Make America!

This occurs after a two -week confrontation between the Republican leaders of Texas and dozens of members of the Texas House Democratic Caucus who fled the State in the efforts aimed at denying in the Legislative Assembly the quorum necessary to adopt a draft bill supported by Trump, which would potentially give the Five Seats at the Additional Congress. After the Democrats fled, Abbott and other leaders have sworn not to go back and threatened to withdraw from his functions and to have them arrested.

For their part, the Democrats of Awol have undertaken not to return until another Democratic State is not “canceling” the new Republican seats in Texas. Democrats also promised not to return to Texas until the special legislative session, which the governor had called to adopt the redistribution bill, as well as other priorities, had ended.

The special session ended on Friday; However, Abbott called a second special session, which started immediately. The Texas Senate has already voted to adopt the measure.

Meanwhile, the California legislative assembly is back in session in Sacramento, and the Democrats in the two chambers should approve the redistribution cards suggested by the campaign committee of the Democratic Congress – which would create up to five other districts of the left congress to the detriment of the Republican minority – by the end of this week.

California governor Gavin Newsom announced last week that California voters would vote in November on the absence of a constitutional state amendment to allow the legislative assembly to move forward with his redistribution plans.
