EXCLUSIVE: THE State department Pulled more than 6,000 student visas in 2025 for abuse and law violations – including terrorism support, Fox News Digital learned.

The Trump administration has launched several initiatives aimed at repressing immigration and the revocation of visas for those who frequent university establishments in the United States

Those who publicly protested the support of Palestine were faced with an in -depth examination, such as an example, and the Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared in May that the administration examined the status of visa of the students who participated in pro-Palestine demonstrations.

The approximately 6,000 visas which were drawn mainly were due to visa or meetings with the law, in particular assault, dui, burglary and support for terrorism, the State Department said to Fox News Digital.

“Each student visa dismissed under the Trump administration has occurred because the individual has been breaking the law or expressed their support for terrorism in the United States,” a senior state department said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “About 4,000 visas have been dismissed alone because these visitors violated the law during the visit of our country, including assault and dui files.”

Those who had their students’ visas drew due to assault – around 800 students – were under arrest or accusations resulting from assault, according to the head of the State Department.

Those whose visas have been drawn due to the support for terrorism – between 200 people to 300 people – have engaged in behavior such as fundraising for the Hamas militant group, which the US State Department has appointed as a terrorist organization, said the official.

In total, the State Department told Fox News Digital that around 40,000 visas had been obtained this year, compared to the 16,000 which were revoked during the same period under the Biden administration.

“Even if the previous administration was less, they still revoked visas,” said the head of the State Department. “It is not something that has just started on January 20 … so it has happened for years.”

Rubio told legislators in May that he had considered that “thousands” of student visas had been canceled since January.

“I do not know the latest count, but we probably have more to do,” Rubio told legislators on the Senate’s credits supervising foreign affairs on May 20. “We will continue to revoke the visas of people who are here as guers and disrupt our higher education facilities.”

However, the Democrats have rejected the Trump administration’s efforts to revoke the visas, saying that it is a violation of regular procedure.

“I think it is a fundamental attack on freedom, because a regular procedure is the goalkeeper of the door to prevent a government from withdrawing people’s life or freedom, and freedom is what happens when you remove a visa without regular procedure,” said senator Jeff Merkley, D-ear., Said Rubio on May 20.

A student visa allows people outside the United States to study in the country for a while in a university establishment. It is different from a green card, which allows an individual already in the United States who is not an American citizen to stay in the country.

The repression of student visas is aligned with several decrees that President Donald Trump signed in January, aimed at protecting the United States from foreign terrorists and other national security threats, as well as the fight against anti-Semitism.

One of the decrees asked the State Department, as well as the Ministry of Internal Security, the Attorney General and the National Intelligence Director, “veterinary and detect to the maximum possible degree all foreigners who intend to be admitted, enter or are already in the United States, in particular foreigners from regions or nations with identified security risks.”

A separate decree that Trump has signed ordered in the United States to use “all the legal and appropriate legal tools, to continue, delete or otherwise take to account for the perpetrators of illegal anti-Semitic anti-Semitic violence”.
