The reward launcher of Rockies Jimmy Herget has fun with media with a humorous t-shirt

The Colorado Rockies relied on the Jimmy Herget surveys this season. But last week, he experienced a significant increase in his workload.

After being called from the rocky enclosure for the fourth time in the space of a week, Herget arrived at a press conference with a humorous t-shirt which referred to the state of his launch arm.

After the Colorado victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, the veteran launcher wore a shirt that said: “My arm hurts.”

“It’s just a funny little thing that I like to do after launching,” Herget told journalists.

He then clarified his status.

“I feel good,” added Herget.

Rescue launchers are sometimes called to the mound for consecutive matches, but Herget will probably welcome a little rest after his four appearances over seven days.

Herget has a 2.73 MPM this season and appeared in 44 games.

Herget made eight relief appearances with the Braves of Atlanta last season. He spent 2021-23 with the Los Angeles Angels.

The Rockies entered the match on Saturday evening against the Diamondbacks at the bottom of the NL West ranking.
